Caroline Conneen, NP, R.D., IBCLC
Caroline Conneen is a certified family nurse practitioner and enjoys being a part of KidsChoice. Since graduating with a Masters in Family Health Nursing from VCU in 1999, she has worked in both pediatric and family practice office settings. She is also a certified lactation consultant, practicing in the hospital setting as well as privately. Prior to that, she was a clinical dietitian and public health nutritionist specializing in pediatrics. She has taught classes for the community, written numerous educational handouts, and leads a weekly group for mothers and babies. She is passionate about helping new families get off to a great start. Her favorite job besides helping parents raise healthy happy kids, is being a mom and new grandmother.
Lori Van Horn, M.D.
Dr. Van Horn has been with the KidsChoice practice since 2006. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She received her B.S. in Biology with High Distinction from Ohio Northern University in 1983. She earned her medical degree from Tulane Medical School in 1987 and then went on to complete her pediatric residency at the University of Virginia by 1990. She served in the Air Force for 4 years, with 3 of those years served in Japan. Since then, she has worked for Pratt Medical Center and other private practices. She also worked for the State of Virginia in their multidisciplinary Child Development Center in Fredericksburg for several years, helping out with the medical evaluation of children with learning and behavior issues. She has hospital privileges at MWH. She is married with two children and numerous animals. She enjoys reading, nature, walking and traveling.
Suzanne Richman, M.D.
Dr. Richman is a board certified pediatrician who has been in private practice since 1992. She received her BA in biochemistry from Douglass College at Rutgers University where she graduated with honors in 1984. Dr. Richman then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and received her doctorate in medicine in 1988. Her pediatric residency training was completed at the Medical Center of Delaware (a teaching affiliate of Jefferson Medical College) in 1991. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her hospital privileges are at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg Virginia. Dr. Richman is married and has 2 children, 2 dogs, a cat, and a pony. She enjoys sewing, reading, crafty things, pinterest and cooking.
